The role of the ambassadors is to generate public awareness and support for the trust, help generate funds and attend events when possible.
Greg Murphy - V8 Super Car Driver
V8 supercar driver Greg Murphy has become the Ambassador for Franklin's very own Silver Lining Trust. Greg has coined the phrase for the Trust "Have Time Out - Don't Burn Out. "The Silver Lining Trust is such a great concept. In modern life, we are moving at such a great pace and face so many challenges that when adversity hit people and their families, it is really important to take some time out and have a break so that they can gather the strength to face their problems. I love Franklin and have had great success and support there, so it is important for me to give back to a community that has given me so much" said Murphy.
John Mitchell - Western Force Super 14 Rugby Coach, Former All Black and All Black Coach
Western Force Super 14 coach and former All Black coach John Mitchell joined as an ambassador after John was introduced to the trust when he and his team attended the trusts first fundraising event "St Paddy's Day of Indulgence". He was so impressed with the Franklin Community's effort, passion and commitment to the cause that he wanted to be a permanent part of the Trust. "I was extremely proud to be such a part of a spirited community event and being a New Zealander I want to maintain my involvement and be able to help this great rural community" said John. John Mitchell is looking forward to assisting in any way possible.
Alison Mau - Television Presenter

Alison Mau is one of New Zealand's most popular television journalist and presenter. She has an extensive, international journalism career and has been a supporter of the Franklin Silver Lining Trust since it began. The lively, Australian born, mother of two has attended all the Trusts major annual events and has enhanced the festivities with her lively personality as MC and by donating exclusive auction prizes. Ali has chosen to support the FSLT because she loves the community spirit of the trust and enjoys the generosity of the people of Franklin.
Andy Booth - NZV8 Driver and AV8 Motorsport CEO
Andy Booth has been part of the Franklin Silver Lining Trust prior to the official launch in March 2007. Andy has won many racing championships in several countries and was initially introduced to the trust through a sponsor. "The Trust has a tremendous crew putting in the hard yards behind the scenes and I was so impressed by the efforts at St Paddy's Day of Indulgence event that I wanted to become a permanent part of the Trust and help this great cause any way I can. Pukekohe has always been my home racetrack so the catch phrase ‘local people caring for local people' really appealed to me - you know your efforts are going to benefit someone directly in your own community and that's great" said Andy.
